Association of Music Producers to Present "Video Game Scoring: Not for the Faint of Heart!"
On Monday, October 30, 2006 the Association of Music Producers will present a no-holds barred dialogue between some of today's leading video game composers.
The lively discussion will attack the hottest artistic issues involving video game music, while at the same time debating the ways in which technology and
commerce are influencing a rapidly-evolving, interactive art form!
Appearing on the panel will be:
• Justin Caine Burnett, composer for numerous video games and
films including Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Man on Fire and
SportsCentury: The Century's Greatest Athletes.
• Jamie Christopherson,composer for video games including Lord
of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth I & II, Lineage II, Lost Planet,
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (FMV), Blade Storm and Onimusha:
Dawn of Dreams (Golden Reel Winner).
• Scott Gershin, Creative Director and Sound Supervisor at
Soundelux Design Music Group, credited with over 150 games
over the last 15 years.
• Harry Gregson-Williams, composer of the theme for Metal Gear
Solid as well as numerous films including The Chronicles of Narnia
and Domino - Tony Scott's latest film.
• Jesper Kyd, British Academy award-winning composer of the
multi-million selling Hitman video game series and Freedom Fighters.
• Christopher Tin, composer for Civilization IV and Puma
TV commercials.
The moderator of the panel will be Don Jasko of Digital Economics.
The event will take commence at 6:30 PM on October 30, 2006 with registration, networking and light refreshments. The program commences promptly at 7:45 PM,
followed by a Q&A session.
