Donald Jasko to Moderate Digital Hollywood Conference Panel at CES, "Advertising,
Marketing & Internet Video: The Next Generation of Consumer Reach"
Donald A. Jasko, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Economics, will moderate a panel on January 7, 2006 at the Digital Hollywood
Conference at the Consumer Electronics Show.
The panel will examine the effects of Internet Protocol Video on the development of advertising and marketing content. The discussion
will focus on the ways in which content and medium are transforming each other, as they both transform the expectations of the consumers
that they seek to reach. The panel will also address the emerging issues of relevancy, targeting, and ubiquity as IP Video transforms
the meaning of reach and frequency as advertisers and marketers understood them in the 20th Century. Other topics to be discussed include:
• What technical challenges remain
before IP Video transforms the
advertising and marketing businesses?
• What properties of IP Video make it
most compelling to advertisers
and marketers:
» The
ability to deliver compelling audiovisual content anytime
anywhere to consumers?
» The
ability to target advertising and marketing content to
consumers based on their specific
interests and spending habits?
» The
ability of consumers to interact with content that intrigues
and interests them?
» The
ability of digital media to report on consumers’ responses to
the advertising and marketing content
they receive?
• What digital media are likely to
capitalize most on their ability to deliver
advertising and marketing content using IP Video?
• Are there issues that have yet to
be addressed in order to convince
advertisers and marketers of the value of IP Video?
• How will traditional media respond
to this challenge presented by
digital media?
Appearing on the panel will be:
• Kris Alexander, Senior Manager
of Media & Entertainment,
Akamai Technologies, Inc.
• Jerrold T. Brandt, Global
Alliances & Marketing-Media &
Entertainment, Intel Corporation
• Greg Demetriades, Chief Executive
Officer, Continental Vista
Broadcasting Group
• Darcy Lorincz, Senior Vice President
of Business Development,
Savvis Communications, Inc.
• Maria Mandel, Partner & Director
